Day 2- Western Cowgirl

Being back in Ohio not only means spending quality time with family and friends, but finally having better pictures to post on the blog-- pictures taken outside by a person instead of a self-timer. And they even include my feet! Today is Day 2 of my 30 for 30 challenge. I will be posting my 30 items tonight!

Occasion: Lunch with a friend
What I'm wearing: Button-down shirt (free from internship), American Apparel navy skirt, Merona sandals via Target, Thrifted belt, Forever 21 leaf earrings

Something about this outfit makes me feel a little western cowgirl. I think its the shirt. This shirt was one of the ten free items I got from my internship this summer. It looks like denim, but its actually made of a lighter fabric. Its not something I would normally choose for myself, but I decided to include it in my 30 items to see what I could do with it. Its a little big, but I think I can definitely make it work. These sandals are the Merona sandals I ordered from Target.com. to replace my Isaac Mizrahi ones that are falling apart. They aren't quite as comfy as my old ones, but I think after breaking them in a little they will definitely be a suitable replacement. Yesterday, I went to Target to return a few things, and you will be proud to know I practiced a lot of restraint and didn't go near the clothes or shoe section. I'm glad this challenge is finally teaching me some self-control...
