What I'm wearing: J.Crew top (2008), Gap Always Skinny jeans, Target sandals, Urban Outfitters sunglasses, NY & Co. necklace, Mondani bag via Steinmart

Today has been a really, really great day. I spent the afternoon enjoying cheap but delicious sushi (the best kind!) and then indulging in some ice cream while sitting at the park with my girlfriends. They even took my outfit pictures! (Thanks Karee and Natalie!) It was supposed to rain all day, but it's absolutely gorgeous out. I love when the weatherman is wrong! I also received my "21 shots" email from the university, which means the big 2-1 is right around the corner! I'm obviously smart enough to realize that taking 21 shots is a BAD idea, but this is the milestone email that every OSU student waits for, because it means the big birthday is finally here. In my case, Saturday! My last shift at my part-time job is Wednesday (yay!), and then I'll be spending the weekend in Cincinnati...I'm so excited to spend time celebrating, relaxing, and getting ready for my move to NYC! Two weeks from today, I start my internship! Eeeeek, so many exciting things are happening at once! I hope your Monday is going just as well as mine :)

Flowers and Curls

What I'm wearing: J.Crew outlet dress and belt, Nine West outlet sandals, H&M flower pin

I wore this last Thursday for a sushi dinner with friends. We went to a restaurant called Lemongrass in the Short North of Columbus, and they had THREE DOLLAR sushi rolls during happy hour. So cheap! The avocado and almond roll was my favorite...yum! In other news, my hair is finally long enough to braid! I've been growing my hair out for awhile now with the intention of donating it once it is long enough. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to part with, since the longer it gets, the more styling options I seem to have. The next style I want to try is long, loose curls. But first, I need to buy a curling iron. I've always been a straightener kind of girl, but I think it's time to try out some curls. Any particular brand of curling iron you would recommend?

Sushi and Spondylolisthesis

Whoa boy, it's been a rough couple of days. I'm pretty much falling apart which means all of my blogging resolutions have gone out the window for the time being. So yes, the "forgotten five" has once again been forgotten. I swear, someday I will get around to getting that feature going again. Right now, I'm focusing on getting healthy. I've been having back pain for about a month now, and I found out yesterday I have spondylolisthesis, a fancy way of saying displaced vertebrae, AKA a screwed up spine. The end of my week will be spent seeing back specialists and getting catscans and more x-rays done to figure out treatment. But no fear, I will hopefully still have regular outfit posts coming your way. Also, our fearless 30 for 30 leader, Kendi, has once again announced another round of 30 for 30. I feel like I just finished the last one, but I don't like to back down from a challenge. So yes, I'm in. And now that I've rambled enough about what's going on in my life, I'll give you what you really came for. Outfit pictures.

What I'm wearing: Forever 21 sequin jacket, J.Crew outlet tiered tank, H&M skinny pants, Target ankle booties, J.Crew bracelet

I wore this on Sunday night for sushi with friends. A big group of us went downtown to a restaurant called Sushi Rock. It was a pretty nice restaurant, which was a welcome change for us poor college students (it was reasonably priced, too!) I used the fancy restaurant as an excuse to wear the sequin jacket I bought for New Years Eve but didn't end up wearing. I also wore the J.Crew bracelet my parents bought me for Christmas. I wish this picture was better quality; it doesn't even begin to do it justice. You just can't go wrong with J.Crew jewelry! Hopefully this piece will be the first of many...
