Simple Math

BFF-1

BFF-2
What I'm wearing: Loft sweater, Polo RL outlet tee, Loft Outlet jeans, Ciao Bella boots via DSW, Handmade necklace

The equation I'm living by right now: Nasty weather+ bitter cold= warmth and comfort are first priority. Its ridiculously cold here; I'm already mentally prepping myself for the long walk to my evening class tonight. I was hoping classes would get canceled today, but no such luck. I miss the days when I lived at home and drove everywhere. Living on a big campus is great for getting exercise, but it really has its downside in the winter. Today I layered up with the thickest sweater I could find in my closet. A pretty boring outfit, but I tried to liven it up a little with one of my handmade necklaces. I made this one over winter break, but today is the first time I've actually worn it. Here is a closeup of it (taken for my Etsy shop, which unfortunately is still nonexistent):

On a positive note, although my Etsy shop isn't up and running yet, I HAVE been consistently making things for it. I love cozying up on the weekends when its too cold to leave the house and just crafting my little heart out while watching a movie. My latest venture? A bracelet that's a hodgepodge of buttons and bows. I can't wait to share it with you guys :)

As Close as I Can Get to Wearing Pajamas to Class

BFF-2

BFF-1

What I'm wearing: Forever 21 Fair Isle sweater, Old Navy gingham button-down, Gap Always Skinny jeans, Ciao Bella boots, Earrings via the Pink Box

Because of the back pain I've been having due to my spondylolisthesis, comfort has been key recently. Add nasty cold weather into the equation, and you're pretty much left with me picking the items in my closet that are the closest I can get to wearing pajamas to class. This sweater has been my go-to lately for staying warm and cozy. Although its only appeared on the blog one other time, I wear it almost every day, usually when I'm all cuddled up in pajamas at night. At the time when I bought it, I wished they had a size smaller in stock, but now I'm kind of glad I got the large. Its oversized, which lends to the cozy feeling. I paired it with my gingham button-down from Old Navy, which is super soft and roomy. Speaking of gingham, have you guys checked out Everybody, Everywear yet? It's the brain-child of the lovely ladies Linda and Liz , and it is such a great way for bloggers to show how they remix their basics and also get inspiration from other stylish ladies. If you look closely, you'll find that I contributed a picture, as well! Definitely go check it out, and get your stripes ready for their next style challenge!

Day 9- Giving Thanks

Home at last! I'm happy to be back in Cincinnati, safe and sound, with so much to be thankful for. Tomorrow I will be attending two Thanksgivings, so there are a lot of mashed potatoes, stuffing, and slices of pie in my future. And who wouldn't be thankful for that?!

What I'm wearing: Old Navy jacket, Gap long sleeved tee, J.Crew outlet jeans, Kelly and Katie flats via DSW, Urban Outfitters earrings, Vintage clock necklace, Vintage bracelet

This was what I wore for the ride home to Cincinnati from school (which ended up taking double the normal time due to traffic...yikes!). I came home from work, threw this on, and ran out the door. A cozy tee+worn in jeans+my favorite vintage necklace= perfection. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
