Stumped

Lately, I feel kind of stumped every time I look at my closet in the morning or sit down to write a post. I think I'm just distracted by my busy schedule and upcoming midterm on Friday. Hopefully you can bear with me until my creative juices start flowing again. Kendi is proposing another 30 for 30 challenge, and although I feel like I just finished the first one, it may be just what I need to get my creativity going again. I imagine it would be much harder to narrow down my closet to 30 items when there is so much layering necessary at this time of year, but it could be fun. Are you planning on participating in the challenge? Also, can I just say that I love how comfy these boyfriend jeans are, but hate how they look all weird and baggy in the crotch? I bought these a long time ago, so I think they might be a little too loose, even for boyfriend jeans. It might be time to invest in a new pair.

Dreaming of Fall

There is something about Friday that just makes me want to put on my most casual, comfy outfit. And today was no exception. I stayed up late last night chatting with my girlfriends, so this morning I was not in the mood to get fancy for class.

What I'm wearing: Target shirt, J.Crew boyfriend jeans, Merona sandals via Target, Vintage pocketwatch necklace, Vintage earrings, Bag via Steinmart

I desperately need cooler weather to come our way because 1. I'm sick of sweating while walking to class and 2. these sandals REALLY need to be retired for the season. They seem to have not left my feet since I bought them, and it's about time they got a break. Plus, my new gray cowboy boots are calling my name from the closet. Rumor has it that next week the temperature is supposed to get down into the 60s which is great news. So excited for Fall! Well I'm headed off to dinner and a movie with the boyfriend. We are seeing The Town which I'm excited for because I love me some Ben Affleck. I hope everyone has a good weekend! No-Brainer

I really haven't felt like myself these past few days. I think its just the realization that I'm heading home, and this little New York chapter of my life will be coming to an end. I have loved spending time in this city, and I hope I can come back again next summer. I've been busy tying up lose ends and trying to get myself packed up for the long car ride home. This morning I was feeling tired again, so I chose a no-brainer, comfy outfit.

When I'm tired and dreading work, all I want is to be comfortable. A loose top and baggy boyfriend jeans definitely fit the bill. I will be a busy bee the rest of the week, so my outfits will probably be equally low maintenance. Boyfriend Jeans

I can't believe how fast this past month has gone. Two weeks from Friday, my parents will be coming to NYC to help me pack up and head back to Ohio. That means I have two weekends left here to shop my butt off before my 30-day shopping ban starts. Hehe just kidding (well sort of...). The rumor around the office is that we are getting a little end-of-the-internship-thank-you gift next week. Fingers crossed that it actually happens; I'll keep you posted!

Although they may not be the most flattering thing in the world, I love my baggy boyfriend jeans. They are so comfortable and a little less restricting/hot in this sweltering heat. Plus they hide a multitude of sins, such as all the junk food I ate while the boyfriend was in town this weekend. Speaking of jeans, I desperately need a pair of jean shorts. Any suggestions for a brand you recommend? I don't like anything too short because I have a butt and thighs, so its been difficult finding a pair that fits just right. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
