Don't Overthink It

What I'm wearing: Gap sweater and tee, H&M fur collar (previously worn here), J.Crew outlet toothpick jeans, Aldo boots, Vintage earrings and bracelet

I've had my fur collar for months now but had only worn it twice before this weekend. It's one of those pieces I tend to overthink; I'm never quite sure how to style it. Right now I'm working with a limited closet since I'm home for the holidays, which can make decision-making a little easier. Yesterday while getting ready for church, I threw this cableknit + fur combo together and thought "eh, why not?". I ended up loving it. Lesson of the day: Don't overthink it.

November, already?!?

Time is flying...I can't believe its already November! My countdown until Winter break has begun; 39 days until exams are over! I'm expecting a super-hectic end of the quarter, but I guess it will make going home for break that much more enjoyable. I can't wait to have abundant free time to do whatever I wish, like maybe finish the book I started in August?!

What I'm wearing: Forever 21 cardigan (2007), Gap long-sleeved tee, Scarf via NYC street vendor, Banana Republic outlet jeans, Nine West boots, Mondani bag via Steinmart, Vintage earrings via Talk of the Town

Today was a gorgeous Fall day, that is, until the sun went away. This outfit was the perfect amount of layers for the early afternoon while the sun was still out, but by the time I walked home from class at 5, it was pretty darn chilly. I've been trying to avoid my winter coats for as long as possible, because I know once they come out, I'm going to be stuck with them until about April. This chunky knit was a great alternative; I can't believe I'm still getting good use out of it four years after I bought it!

These Boots Weren't Made For Walking

Lesson of the week: be careful what you wish for. Last week, I whined and whined about how hot it was outside. Now it won't stop raining, and the temperature has dropped 30 degrees. Yiiiikes. Where is the Fall I was envisioning, the one with sunshine and pretty falling leaves? Granted, this chilly weather did give me an excuse to layer up with the cardigan from my Forgotten Five.

What I'm wearing: The Limited cardigan (item #2 from forgotten five), Old Navy long-sleeved tee, Old Navy jeans, Ciao Bella boots, Forever 21 belt, Kate Spade outlet tote

Yes, I'm wearing the same jeans I wore yesterday. This will probably happen a lot now that school is back in; don't judge. I never thought I liked Old Navy jeans, but I tried these on while I was in New York, and they are surprisingly comfortable and fit pretty well. The best part? A $15 price tag. These boots on the other hand? Not as comfortable as I remember. My school's campus is rather large, so a typical day of class involves a lot of walking, which resulted in a blister on the back of my right foot. Next time I wear these, I will remember to load up on the band-aids first. Well time for homework so I can watch Glee tonight. Who else is super pumped for the Britney episode?

Day 27- A Busy, Busy Bee

Quick, quick post tonight. There was a bit of a change in plans so I have been running around like a busy bee trying to get everything packed up for the big move to my apartment. Although today has been a little crazy, I'm starting to get really excited to move in and see all of my friends from school. I will be without a laptop until at least Friday, so I apologize in advance if outfit posts are a little sporadic the rest of the week.

Occasion: Doctors appointment, shopping at the outlets, & packing
What I'm wearing: J.Crew outlet tee, J.Crew outlet cardigan, Gap Always Skinny jeans, Merona sandals via Target, Vintage pocketwatch necklace, Urban Outfitters earrings

I needed a relatively simple outfit for dressing and undressing at the doctors and in dressing rooms while shopping. Despite its simplicity, I actually really like this outfit. I ended up having a very successful trip to the outlets; I'm pretty much all finished with fall/back-to-school shopping. And I officially have an obsession with boots. 3 of my last 4 shoe purchases over the past few months have been some sort of boot. I think I officially need to be cut off from shoe shopping. Or maybe just shopping in general?
