What I'm wearing: J.Crew outlet button-down and cords, Old Navy jacket, Aldo boots (bought with giftcard), Vintage pocketwatch necklace

Winter break has arrived! After a long week of finals, I couldn't be happier to be home in Cincinnati. Last year, I was super ambitious and did a whole post about my break plans. This year's plans are a bit more basic: relax and catch up on sleep, spend a bunch of time with my cousin and the baby, and enjoy time with family and friends. I also plan on doing a lot of blogging to get a jump start on one of my New Year's resolutions. Keep your eye out for some 2011 recap posts coming your way!

Day 12- Wishing It Was Saturday

Is anyone else ready for this week to be over? It's only Tuesday, but I wish it was Saturday. This week is my last week of the quarter before finals, and my schedule is crazy crammed with stuff. I'm dreaming of two weeks from now, when I will be back in Cincinnati enjoying Christmas music, hot chocolate, and lots of free time for crafty DIYs.

What I'm wearing: Uniqlo wrap sweater, Old Navy jeans, J.Crew flats, Chicos flower pin (gifted), Forever 21 pearl earrings

It's been raining all day, I'm tired, and my outfit is pretty simple, so I'm a little short on words today. Let's just hope the weather clears up soon and the rest of this week flies by!

Rebel With A Cause

On Friday, I made a quick little trip to Cincinnati to celebrate my dad's 50th birthday. We threw him a surprise party, although I think he started to catch on a little towards the end. We aren't the best liars, but that just means we are good people, right? I felt like the rebellious teenager I never was when I lied about where I was going Friday night so I could go help set up at my aunt's house. Sneaky sneaky. I decided at the last minute to come home to Cincinnati earlier than planned, so I packed super quickly and am kind of surprised how well my outfit for the night turned out.

Going Green

Guess what? It's almost the weekend! I cannot wait to head home to Cincinnati to celebrate my dad's birthday. Things I'm looking forward to: Cake!(duh), getting a haircut, doing a little shopping, digging through our old Halloween decorations to steal some for my apartment, and most of all just spending time with family. I know that as soon as I get back to campus on Sunday, the stress and madness will all start up again, so I'm going to enjoy the little break while I can.

What I'm wearing: Heritage 1981 shirt via Forever 21, J.Crew outlet cardigan, Banana Republic outlet jeans, Nine West boots, Vintage bracelet, Urban Outfitters earrings

I went through a phase while I was in NYC where everything I bought was green, and this shirt was a product of that obsession. This wasn't the original outfit I had planned for today, but sometimes my ideas don't always translate the way I want them to. I had to get to the accounting tutor center this morning (have I mentioned how much I HATE accounting?), so I frantically got dressed and did my hair/makeup in twenty minutes. That's quite the feat for me. And I even had enough time to do outfit pictures. What a productive day!
